Exclusive gallery lecture (limited to 8 people) of the exhibit of 'old master drawings' at the Morgan Library. With subdued lighting a roomful of Old Master Drawings can be intimidating even to the avid museum visitor. Walter O'Neill will guide you on how to look and enjoy old master drawings. You will learn how to identify the difference between a sketch, a study and a preparatory drawing as well as gain an understanding of the advantages of specific media such as chalk, charcoal, or pen and ink. We will select to view highlights of the 100 master drawing that are on exhibit, including Michaelangelo, Raphael, Durer, Rubens, Rembrandt and Picasso.
